The eleventh or twelfth lunar day is the day when the festival of marriage is observed. This celebration usually takes place in the months of October or November, as per the Indian calendar. 

Shaligram and Goddess Tulsi, who are both forms of Lord Vishnu, have to get married on this day because it’s the law.

Customs and Traditions related to Tulsi Vivah

Lord Vishnu and Tulsi Vivah have many of the same traditions and steps as a typical Hindu wedding, which takes place in a temple and at the bride’s house.

How significant Tulsi Vivah is

In the Sanatan Dharma and India, the Tulsi Vivah carries significant significance. On this day, the Hindu wedding season officially begins. This is also referred to as Devuthani Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu awakens on Devuthani Ekadashi, four months after entering a yoga Nidra state. 

Additionally, it is possible to perform a Tulsi marriage on this day. According to Hindu texts, no auspicious activity of any type is permitted during these four months, known as Chatumas. Auspicious work starts on Devuthani Ekadashi or Tulsi Vivah.
