How far in advance should I book for Pitru Paksha 2026 (Sep 27–Oct 11)?

We strongly recommend booking at least 8 weeks in advance — that means by early August 2026. Pitru Paksha is the single busiest period of the year at every sacred ghat in India. Slots fill up fast, particularly for in-person visits to Gaya and Prayagraj.
