Do I need to know my Gotra to perform Pind Daan in Kashi?

Knowing your Gotra is helpful as it personalises the Sankalpa (sacred declaration) in your ancestor’s name. However, if you do not know your Gotra — which is common among NRI families — our Kashi Pandits can guide you in identifying it, or a general Gotra will be used. This does not reduce the validity or efficacy of the ritual. Simply inform us when you book and our coordinator will assist you.
