How many days do I need in Varanasi if I travel from Malaysia for Pind Daan?

The Pind Daan ritual itself typically takes half a day (3–4 hours including travel between Tirthas). We recommend a stay of 2–3 days in Varanasi to allow time for the ritual without rush, and to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, attend the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, and visit Sarnath (Buddha’s first sermon site, just 10 km from the city centre). If you are also performing Asthi Visarjan, plan for an additional half day.
