What rituals should be performed after Akal Mrityu?

The Garuda Purana prescribes Narayan Bali Puja as the primary ritual for Akal Mrityu — it creates a symbolic representation of the departed and completes the last rites that may have been incomplete. Tripindi Shradh is often performed alongside it to address neglected ancestral rites across three generations. Pind Daan at Triveni Sangam, Gaya, or Kashi provides the soul with spiritual nourishment and releases it from Preta Yoni. Asthi Visarjan (immersion of ashes) should also be completed if not already done.
