Why is the Dwadash Madhav Parikrama important?

The Dwadash Madhav Parikrama is important because, according to the Prayag Mahatmya in the Puranas, the full merit of Kalpavas and the holy snan at the Triveni Sangam is obtained only after circumambulating all 12 Madhav temples. The circuit is said to liberate devotees from accumulated sins and bestow the combined grace of Lord Vishnu in his twelve divine forms. It is especially powerful when performed alongside Pind Daan and Shradh ceremonies.
