Do I need to speak Hindi to interact with the pandit?

No. Prayag Pandits’ team includes English-speaking staff and coordinators who work with NRI families from Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries. Your coordinator will be present throughout the ceremony to translate and explain each step in English. Our senior pandits are also accustomed to working with South Indian and Tamil families — they understand the ritual vocabulary and traditions of these communities and will adapt the ceremony accordingly. You do not need to know Hindi or Sanskrit to participate fully and meaningfully in the rites.
