How can I activate or balance the Muladhara Chakra?

उत्तर दिया Prakhar Porwal ·

The ancient texts prescribe several methods for activating the Muladhara Chakra. Mantra practice: Chant the bija mantra LAM (pronounced with nasal resonance) 108 times daily, ideally at sunrise while sitting on the ground. The vibration of LAM resonates with the Earth element and stimulates the root center. Yoga asanas: Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Malasana (Deep Squat), Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose), and Virabhadrasana I (Warrior I) are specifically recommended for Muladhara activation. Meditation: Visualize a four-petalled crimson red lotus at the base of the spine, with a golden Shiva Lingam at the center surrounded by the coiled Kundalini serpent. Breathe deeply and direct prana to this spot. Diet: Root vegetables (carrots, beets, potatoes, ginger), red-colored foods (pomegranate, tomato), and protein-rich foods strengthen the Root Chakra. Grounding practices: Walking barefoot on earth, sitting under trees, gardening, and spending time near mountains. Gemstones: Red Coral, Red Jasper, Garnet, and Hematite are traditionally associated with Muladhara.
