What is the Vishnu connection to Dashami Shradh?

The tenth tithi (Dashami) is traditionally associated with Lord Vishnu through the concept of the Dashavatar — Vishnu’s ten divine incarnations. The Vishnu Purana states that ancestors who receive Shradh on Dashami gain access to Vishnu’s grace and have an accelerated path toward liberation through the spiritual merit of the tenth avatar’s completeness. Reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama or offering tulsi on Dashami Shradh invokes this Vaishnava connection.
