Men should ideally wear a Dhoti-Kurta or Kurta Pajama. Women should wear a Saree or Salwar Kameez. Western casuals are generally avoided during rituals. Bring a spare set of dry clothes for after the Sangam bath — the ghat steps can be slippery so carry a light towel too.
