When should I book accommodation for Pitrupaksha Pind Daan in Gaya?

For travel during the Pitrupaksha fortnight in September-October, book your accommodation at least 2-3 months in advance. Properties within 1 km of Vishnupad Temple fill up extremely fast, sometimes as early as 4-5 months before Pitrupaksha.
