What is the best time to visit Gaya for Pind Daan?

Pind Daan can be performed any day of the year. However, Pitrupaksha (September–October) is the most auspicious period and draws the most pilgrims to Gaya. Amavasya (new moon) days throughout the year are also excellent. The winter months (October–February) offer the most comfortable climate.
