What the private arrangement means

Your family’s details stay central to the ceremony

  • Destination and date checkedThe team confirms the selected tirtha and suitable ceremony window.

  • Sankalp details gatheredThe Karta, gotra if known, and ancestor names are coordinated privately.

  • Rite performed at the tirthaThe local pandit performs the selected arrangement physically in India.

  • Participation follows the bookingLive or recorded access is provided only as confirmed for the selected product.

Important: the private packages and the group Gaya ceremony do not have the same attendance model. The group service has no live participation.

A clear four-step process

From choosing the tirtha to the completed Sankalp

The coordinator confirms the practical details after you select a package.

  1. Choose the tirtha

Compare the eight sacred destinations and read the selected product’s current inclusions.

  2. Share family details

Provide the Karta, gotra if known, ancestor names, relationships and preferred tithi privately.

  3. Confirm the window

The team checks the tirtha, date, pandit’s schedule and the agreed participation arrangement.

  4. Follow the ceremony

The rite is performed at the destination; live or recorded access follows what was confirmed.

Do not know your gotra or exact tithi? Share what your family knows. The pandit will guide you before the arrangement is finalized.

Purnima Shraddha is observed on 26 September, Pratipada Shraddha on 27 September, and Sarva Pitru Amavasya on 10 October. A family’s preferred tithi still needs confirmation against the chosen tirtha and the pandit’s suitable ceremony time.

“Online” describes how the family participates

The pandit, ritual materials and selected tirtha remain physically present in India. Online Pind Daan allows the family to arrange the rite at a distance, share the details required for Sankalp and, when confirmed for the package, follow the ceremony by live video. The sacred location is not replaced by a digital ritual.

Pind Daan centres on remembrance and the offering of pindas for the ancestors. The coordinator asks for the Karta’s name, gotra if known, the names and relationships of the ancestors being remembered, a preferred date and any family custom that should be considered. If a detail is uncertain, ask the pandit instead of guessing.

Eight sacred choices, each with a different family connection

Prayagraj is chosen for the Triveni Sangam; Varanasi for Kashi and the Ganga; Gaya for the Vishnupad and Phalgu traditions; and Haridwar for the Ganga at Gangadvara. These four are the most frequently requested destinations on the private and NRI service paths.

Ayodhya may suit families connected with the Sarayu and Ram bhakti; Mathura those connected with the Yamuna and Krishna bhakti; Garh Mukteshwar families connected with Garh Ganga and western Uttar Pradesh; and Brahmakapal Badrinath families who specifically seek the seasonal Himalayan tirtha.

A location should not be chosen from a ranking or a fear-based claim. If an elder or family tradition has named a tirtha, let that guide the first choice. If no place is fixed, compare the product inclusions and ask for calm guidance.

Private online, NRI coordination and group Gaya are not interchangeable

This page is the broad private-service owner: one family chooses among eight destinations and requests a suitable date. The NRI page carries the overseas details—time zones, relatives in different countries and international payment guidance—without turning this general page into a country-targeted duplicate.

The online group Pind Daan in Gaya is a different booking model. It uses fixed tithis and a shared ceremony, gives each booked family a separate Sankalp, has no live participation, and sends the complete recording and photographs within 72 hours. Its lower-price structure should be chosen only when that format suits the family.

Prepare simply and review the final package record

Choose one family coordinator. Gather the Karta’s name, ancestor names and relationships, gotra if known, the preferred date, and any custom the family wants the pandit to consider. Keep a stable internet connection ready only if live participation has been confirmed.

Before payment, read the selected product page for the current price, exact location language, included samagri, any named additional rites and the participation arrangement. For traditional context beyond this booking page, read the complete Pind Daan guide.

Questions to consider

Choose with the booking model and scope clear

These answers separate the private, overseas and group formats and avoid promises that are not present in every product.

What does an Online Pind Daan booking arrange?

A local pandit performs the ceremony physically at the sacred destination selected in your package. The coordinator gathers the Karta’s name, gotra if known, ancestor names and relationships for the family-specific Sankalp. The exact inclusions, joining arrangement and ceremony location are confirmed for the selected product.

Is this the same as the lower-priced group Pind Daan in Gaya?

No. The packages on this page are private family arrangements with a choice of destination and broader date coordination. The group Gaya service uses fixed tithis, is performed with other booked families, gives each family a separate Sankalp, does not include live participation, and sends the complete recording and photographs within 72 hours.

Which sacred destination should our family choose?

Begin with any place named by an elder, family tradition or family pandit. Gaya, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Haridwar are the most frequently requested choices; Ayodhya, Mathura, Garh Mukteshwar and Brahmakapal Badrinath serve families with a specific connection to those tirthas. Ask for guidance if there is no fixed family preference.

Can our family join the ceremony by live video?

Live video participation is coordinated for the private packages when it is confirmed as part of the booking. The ceremony follows the suitable local time at the tirtha, and the joining details are shared before the rite. Connectivity at Himalayan or riverbank locations can affect the final arrangement.

What if I do not know the gotra or exact death tithi?

Share only what your family knows. The team and pandit will explain how an unknown detail is handled and help you identify a suitable date. When the exact tithi is unknown, families commonly ask the pandit about Sarva Pitru Amavasya.

What are the corrected Pitru Paksha dates for 2026?

Purnima Shraddha is on 26 September 2026, Pratipada Shraddha is on 27 September, and Sarva Pitru Amavasya is on 10 October. A preferred date is final only after the tirtha and pandit’s suitable ceremony window are confirmed.

Are Brahmin Bhoj, Tarpan, Gau Daan or other rites included?

Only when they are clearly named on the selected product page. Each package card links to its current product record. Read the complete inclusions before payment; travel, accommodation, optional donations and any unnamed ceremony are separate.

I live outside India. Which page should I use?

Use the dedicated Online Pind Daan for NRIs page when you need country and time-zone coordination, international payment guidance, or relatives joining from different countries. It keeps those overseas logistics separate from this broad eight-destination service page.
