Do I need to travel to India to perform Pind Daan, or can it be done remotely from Singapore?

You do not need to travel. Our online puja service allows our pandit to perform Pind Daan, Asthi Visarjan, Shradh, or Tarpan on your behalf at the sacred ghat while you watch live on WhatsApp. This is scripturally valid — proxy performance (done by a trusted brahmin on behalf of an absent family member) is mentioned in the Dharmasindhu and other texts as permissible for those unable to travel. That said, in-person participation carries greater spiritual merit, so if travel is possible, we encourage it — especially for the first Pind Daan after a bereavement.
