We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks before Pitru Paksha begins (September 27, 2026). During Pitru Paksha, pandit availability fills up quickly, especially at Gaya and Prayagraj. Families who book in July or August receive first-priority scheduling. If you are planning to travel to India for Pitru Paksha, book flights by June for the best economy fares from US airports.
