3 in 1 Online Pind daan Package Prayagraj, Varanasi &…
From the comfort of your home, embark on the most sacred pilgrimage...

When distance, health, or circumstances prevent you from travelling to a sacred tirtha, online pind daan ensures the pitru karma of your ancestors is fulfilled without compromise. The ritual is performed in full — at the exact sacred location you choose — by a qualified Vedic pandit, while you watch live on WhatsApp or video call from your home in Malaysia, Singapore, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or anywhere else in the world.
Pind daan (Sanskrit: pinda = rice ball, dana = offering) is the most important among all pitru karma rites. It satisfies the subtle body of departed ancestors, liberates them from the cycle of unfulfilled desires, and earns their blessings for the living family. The Garuda Purana, Vayu Purana, and Vishnu Purana all hold that pind daan performed at the holy tirthas — particularly Gaya, Prayagraj Sangam, and Kashi Vishwanath Ghat — carries the greatest spiritual merit.
Since 2019, Prayag Pandits has performed online pind daan for more than 2,263 families across six continents. Every ceremony is conducted by pandits holding credentials from the Kashi Vidwat Parishad, recorded in full, and delivered to you with photographic and video proof the same day.
The process is straightforward. You book, we confirm the date and timing, and on the day of the ritual you join live. Here is the complete step-by-step procedure:
Each of the eight tirthas we serve carries distinct scriptural authority for pitru karma. The city you choose should ideally correspond to your family tradition, the urgency of the rite, or the guidance of your family pandit. Below is a full overview of each location, its spiritual significance, and the current booking price.
The confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati is called the tirtha-raj, the king of all tirthas. The Matsya Purana and Padma Purana both describe Prayag as the foremost site for pitru tarpan. Pind daan performed here at the Sangam is believed to liberate seven generations of ancestors simultaneously. The pandit performs the ritual at the actual confluence point, with the sacred waters of all three rivers present.
Kashi is where Lord Shiva whispers the Taraka mantra into the ear of every soul that departs this world. The Kashi Khand of the Skanda Purana holds that pind daan on the banks of the Ganga in Kashi grants the ancestors permanent liberation (mukti) regardless of their karmic state. Our pandits perform the ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat or Manikarnika Ghat, both of ancient significance.
Gaya is called the pitru tirtha par excellence. The Vayu Purana devotes an entire chapter to the immeasurable merit of pind daan at the Vishnupad temple, where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is enshrined in stone. A single pind daan at Gaya is said to equal the effect of a hundred pind dans elsewhere. This is the most sought-after location for families whose ancestors died with unfulfilled wishes or who passed away during inauspicious periods.
At Har Ki Pauri, the Ganga descends from the mountains and touches the plains for the first time. This spot is considered the doorstep of Vishnu and Shiva both. Pind daan performed here during Pitrupaksha or on Amavasya is believed to carry the ancestors directly to Vishnu-loka. It is especially recommended for families with Shaivite or Vaishnava traditions.
Lord Ram is said to have performed his own pitru karma on the banks of the Sarayu. Pind daan in Ayodhya is considered especially meritorious for families who are devoted to Ram bhakti, or whose ancestors were associated with a Vaishnava sampradaya. The Sarayu river is held sacred by all Vaishnava texts, and pitru tarpan here is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana itself.
Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, holds Vishram Ghat as its primary pitru karma site. It is here that Krishna rested after slaying Kansa, and where his own ancestors received tarpan. The Yamuna at Mathura is regarded as a sacred pitru nadi, and the Bhagavata Purana holds that pind daan on its banks grants ancestors a place in Goloka. Recommended for families with a deep Krishna bhakti tradition.
Garh Mukteshwar, known locally as Garh Ganga, is one of North India's most ancient Ganga tirthas. The Shiva temple here is associated with liberation (mukti), and the ghat is a traditional site for asthi visarjan and pind daan for families from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and neighbouring states. It is a particularly accessible tirtha for NRI families whose ancestors came from western Uttar Pradesh.
Brahmakapal is a natural rock platform on the banks of the Alaknanda river at Badrinath, and it is the highest-altitude pitru karma site in India. Pind daan here is performed under open sky in the shadow of the Himalaya, at a spot the Skanda Purana describes as Brahma's own ceremonial ground. Ancestors who receive pind daan at Brahmakapal are said to attain the highest realm of Vishnu's abode. This is the most spiritually elevated of all pind daan tirthas.
Every online pind daan booking includes a complete documentation package. You should not need to take anyone's word for whether the ritual was performed — we give you evidence you can keep.
We have been performing online pind daan since 2019, well before it became widely available. Here is what sets our service apart.
For those who want to understand the ritual in detail, here is what takes place during an online pind daan ceremony. The procedure follows the Apastamba and Baudhayana sutras, the two most widely followed pitru karma texts in North India.
Pind daan can be performed on any day of the year, but certain tithis carry greater merit. Here is a guide to the most auspicious times.
Pitrupaksha is the 15-day period in the Hindu calendar dedicated entirely to ancestral rites. In 2026, Pitrupaksha runs from 27 September to 11 October. Every tithi during this fortnight is considered suitable for pind daan, and the collective spiritual energy at the tirthas is at its highest. Demand for bookings during Pitrupaksha is significantly higher than at other times — we recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and location.
The most significant single day within Pitrupaksha is Sarva Pitru Amavasya (Mahalaya Amavasya), which in 2026 falls on 11 October. On this day, pind daan can be performed for all ancestors regardless of which tithi they died on. It is the preferred date for families who are unsure of the death anniversary of an ancestor, or who want to cover all ancestors in a single ceremony.
Every Amavasya (new moon day) is auspicious for pitru karma. The ancestors are believed to be closest to the living world on Amavasya nights, and tarpan performed on this day reaches them with the least spiritual obstruction. Many families who have missed Pitrupaksha choose to perform online pind daan on the nearest Amavasya instead.
The lunar death anniversary of an ancestor (called punyatithi or barsi) is the single most important individual date for pind daan. The ancestor's spirit is said to return to the family home on this day, and pind daan performed at a tirtha on the punyatithi has the greatest effect for that specific ancestor. If you know the death date of your parent or grandparent, we can calculate the corresponding lunar tithi and schedule the ceremony accordingly.
If an ancestor has not received pind daan for many years, or if there are signs of pitru dosha in the family (recurring health problems, obstacles in marriage or career, unexplained family discord), the shastras allow for pind daan to be performed on any day. The urgency of the karma takes precedence over timing considerations. In such cases, contact us and we will schedule the earliest available slot.
The most comprehensive option for online pind daan is our 3-in-1 Prayag Varanasi Gaya Online Pind Daan Package at ₹21,000. This combines pind daan at all three of the primary pitru tirthas in a single booking.
The Brahma Purana holds that pind daan performed at Prayag, Kashi, and Gaya together is the complete fulfillment of all pitru karma obligation. Many families who have missed multiple years of shraddha rites, or who want to perform a comprehensive ceremony for an ancestor who died under difficult circumstances, choose this package. The three ceremonies are performed on consecutive days or spread across the full Pitrupaksha period, depending on your preference.
You can book online pind daan directly through the product pages linked in the table above, or contact our team on WhatsApp for a personalised recommendation based on your family's needs and tradition.
