What should I do immediately after Surya Grahan ends?

As soon as the eclipse is fully over, take a complete bath — in a river if possible, otherwise at home. After bathing, change into fresh clean clothes. Then purify your home by sprinkling Ganga jal in all rooms. Clean and re-adorn the idols of deities with fresh water, flowers, and incense. Cook a fresh meal and eat after offering it first to the deities. Give Daan (charity) immediately after the eclipse — the merit is especially high at this moment.
