Which deity governs the Vishuddha Chakra?

The presiding deity of the Vishuddha Chakra is Panchavaktra Shiva — the five-faced form of Lord Shiva — who represents the five directions of space and the five elements. His consort at this centre is Shakini, the divine feminine force of the throat. The association with Lord Shiva is further deepened by His epithet Neelakantha (the Blue-Throated One) — an embodiment of the Vishuddha power to contain and transform what is difficult or toxic into spiritual wisdom.
