My family performed Bharani Shradh once after my father’s death. Should we do it every year?

The Dharmasindhu recommends annual observance of Bharani Shradh during Pitrupaksha as the most beneficial practice. The single Bharani Shradh after death is the minimum; the annual observance provides sustained spiritual nourishment for the ancestor’s soul as it continues its journey through Pitru Loka. Given the exceptional merit of Maha Bharani, the annual practice is strongly encouraged.
