Which is the most important ghat in Haridwar?

Har Ki Pauri (literally ‘steps of Lord Hari’) is the most important and sacred ghat in Haridwar. It contains the Brahmakund — a specially demarcated bathing pool where Lord Vishnu’s footprint is enshrined — and is the site of the daily Ganga Aarti. Bathing at Har Ki Pauri is believed to wash away the sins of seven lifetimes and is considered the primary spiritual act for any pilgrim visiting Haridwar.
